Joshua Seftel has received more than 50 international awards in film and television.  His work has brought him to Bosnia, Romania, Costa Rica, South Africa, Iceland, and across the United States, and his productions have appeared on HBO, PBS, ABC, CBS, A&E, Bravo, Showtime, Discovery, and the award-winning public radio program This American Life.
Seftel began his career at age 22 with the award-winning documentary film, Lost and Found, about the plight of Romania’s 120,000 orphaned and abandoned children.  After PBS broadcast the Emmy-nominated film, he went on to make several more acclaimed independent documentaries for HBO and PBS, including Taking on the Kennedys, which was selected by Time Magazine as one of the ”Ten Best Television Programs of 1996” and Ennis’ Gift, a film produced with Bill Cosby for HBO.
Seftel made his feature film directorial debut in 2008 with War Inc., a political satire starring John Cusack, Ben Kingsley and Marisa Tomei which was released in theaters nationwide.
