M19, one of Britain’s most secretive WWII agencies, aided Allies caught behind enemy lines — spies, downed airmen, and escaped prisoners. Airmen were taught evasion training and escape methods before flying over occupied territory. Resistance teams risked their lives to help those stranded return home to fight another day. Interviews with escapers and former Resistance members help recreate the journeys of Airey Neave, the first escaper from Colditz, and Cockleshell Raid survivor Blondie Hasler.
