Whether it’s dangling from a tower crane nearly 40 stories in the air or battling a flooded field packed with tree stumps to move an historic farmhouse, if it has to be moved, the MEGA MOVERS are always up to the challenge.
In this heavy-duty program, travel from California to North Carolina to witness two very different mega moves. Soaring above Los Angeles, a Liebherr tower crane has spent two years constructing a 36-story luxury high-rise condominium. Now, this 380-foot-tall, 200-ton crane must be dismantled into sections and hauled down the side of a building with only inches of clearance. The critical requirement for this complex and dangerous job? No fear of heights. Next, in Dallas, North Carolina, watch as a crew struggles to move a pre–Civil War house a quarter of a mile across a field riddled with obstacles. As they begin their work, the movers uncover a number of surprises—including some unusual artifacts from the past.
From towering heights to muddy trenches, watch as the MEGA MOVERS once again defy the odds and accomplish the seemingly impossible.
