The Yankees beat the Rays in this historic game featuring Derek Jeter’s 3,000th Hit as he goes five hits in five at bats!

At some shining point after his stellar 1996 Rookie of the Year Award-winning season, and at some point as he accumulated five World Series championships with the New York Yankees, at some point after he became the all-time hit leader of the Bronx Bombers, it was clear that 3,000 hits was not a matter of “could he” but “when will he” reach the milestone.

On a picture-perfect afternoon in Yankee Stadium, before a capacity crowd energized with expectation, “the Captain,” “Mr. November” carved his name into the record books. With his usual flair for the dramatic, Jeter stroked hit #3,000 with a solo home run to ignite a wondrous celebration with his teammates and his adoring fans. But the exceptional day went beyond the mile marker of 3K as Jeter ended the affair 5/5–five hits in five at bats, the last producing the game-winning run.

Direct from Major League Baseball, this historic and extraordinary television broadcast includes a career milestone, a salute to achievement spanning three decades, and one unforgettable baseball game.

SATURDAY, JULY 9, 2011 * YANKEE STADIUM

A special DVD audio feature allows fans to watch the television broadcast and listen to the radio play-by-play!

REDS MEMORIES is the first complete compilation of Cincinnati Reds history through three centuries of baseball. For more than 140 years Cincinnati has been one of the bedrocks of professional baseball, featuring unparalleled players & managers.

Cincinnati and professional baseball go back a long way–to the beginning–May 4, 1869–when the Red Stockings debuted as the nation’s first professional team.

And there is quite a litany of “firsts” in REDS MEMORIES, an incredibly detailed compilation of Cincinnati Reds history. The 1919 World Series title–the first for the franchise–is brought to life like never before. Watch Johnny Vander Meer become the first and only man to throw back-to-back no-hitters. Return to that evening in 1935 when Cincinnati became the first Major League team to host an evening baseball game. Witness the rise and fall of the amazing Big Red Machine–the first team in the division era to sweep the postseason. And, of course, you’ll relive the hitting milestones of the phenomenal Pete Rose and the wire-to-wire journey of the 1990 championship team.

For more than 140 years Cincinnati has been one of the bedrocks of professional baseball, featuring unparalleled players and managers –from Joe Nuxhall to Frank Robinson–from Bid McPhee to Johnny Bench–from Sparky Anderson to Lou Piniella. It’s all right here: the Hall of Famers, the championship teams, the historic past and the promising future. REDS MEMORIES is the first complete retrospective of Cincinnati Reds history through three centuries of baseball. Just another first for the Team of Firsts.

In more than 100 years of World Series play there have been many that could be considered memorable and a handful that might be classified as unforgettable. But only one can be called the best ever – and for many the 1991 World Series between the Atlanta Braves and Minnesota Twins was just that. Consider:

*FIVE GAMES DECIDED BY ONE RUN
*FOUR GAMES WON IN THE LAST AT-BAT
*THREE EXTRA-INNING GAMES WERE THE MOST EVER
*AND THE FINAL TWO GAMES–JUST INCREDIBLE

MAGIC IN MINNESOTA revels in the mesmerizing masterpiece of Jack Morris’ 1-0, 10-inning Game 7 and Kirby Puckett’s unbelievable heroics in Game 6. This celebration salutes the contributions of superstars, support players, and the deafening, intimidating Minnesota Twins fans who electrified the Metrodome like never before and includes: Interviews with two-time World Champions manager Tom Kelly, Kent Hrbek, Gene Larkin, Dan Gladden, and John Gordon; Extensive game highlights, exclusive footage, and more!

MAGIC IN MINNESOTA is more than just another film about just another championship team. It’s about the Twins – your Twins – and perhaps the greatest World Series of all time.

Since the Seattle Mariners first pitch on April 6, 1977 the Emerald City has witnessed the “M‘s” evolve from scrappy expansion franchise to establishing record-setting win totals. The bond between players and Pacific Northwest is apparent in an all-time roster so familiar, it’s on a first-name basis: Edgar, Alvin, Junior, Ichiro, Randy, Jamie, Jay, and Lou.

This four-DVD set showcases four full television broadcasts that mark glorious chapters in the history of the franchise and sit at the heart of the love affair between fans and ball club. Digitally preserved, the games are enhanced with the actual full-game radio play-by-play packed with memory-jarring “My, oh my!” and “Fly Away” celebrations.

FOUR ESSENTIAL MARINERS GAMES NOW AVAILABLE ON DVD!

VOLUME 1: 1995 AL WEST ONE-GAME PLAYOFF (October 2, 1995): “Refuse to Lose”–the surge of optimistic energy and clutch performances propelled the Mariners to a late-season charge, punctuated by this ear-popping one-game playoff to determine the champions of the American League West Division.

VOLUME 2: “THE DOUBLE” – ALDS GAME 5 vs NYY (October 8, 1995): The uplifting heroics extended from Edgar Martinez to Randy Johnson to Ken Griffey, Jr., to the get-engine-loud exultations of the delirious Mariners fans. From its taut start to the dramatic 11th inning finish, by every measure this game is an all-time classic.

VOLUME 3: HOME SWEEP HOME: 2000 AL DIVISION SERIES vs CHI (October 6, 2000): As the American League Wild Card team, the Mariners drew the top-seeded Chicago White Sox. Stellar defense, pitching, timely hitting, and one perfectly placed push bunt in the bottom of the 9th propelled Seattle to a series sweep.

VOLUME 4: RECORD-SETTING SEASON, DIVISION CHAMPIONS vs ANA (September 19, 2001): In the midst of establishing an AL single-season record for wins and in the swirl of emotions in their second game back after the terrorist attacks of 9/11–the Mariners climbed one more mountain: American League West Division Champions.

The 1985 World Series championship was the crowning moment for the Kansas City Royals franchise. In the nine years from 1976 to 1984, the Royals made the postseason six times, but each time they were thwarted. Then in 1985, the club overcame a late season deficit to win the American League West Division, rallied from a 3-games-to-1 deficit to defeat Toronto in the ALCS, and capped the delirious ride with a World Series history-making victory over the rival St. Louis Cardinals. Managed by the even-keeled Dick Howser and led by veteran stars George Brett, Frank White, Dan Quisenberry, and Willie Wilson, the Royals persevered and conquered their cross-state opponents behind the precocious pitching of young superstar Bret Saberhagen.

The seven games in this remarkable DVD collection showcase the rollercoaster of intra-state emotions as the Cardinals flew out to grab three quick wins in the first four games, only to have the Royals capture the final three games in oh-so-dramatic fashion. For the first time ever on DVD, the Major League Baseball Productions Film and Video Archive has opened to reveal these remarkable games that capture the beauty of mid-1980s Royals Stadium, a roster of all-time Royals stars, and a battle of players, managers, and intra-state cities that delighted a nation.

An extraordinary compilation of baseball history, individual intensity, and the unbridled joy.

This remarkable collection features perhaps the most pressure-packed pitching performance ever — the quintessential masterpiece – Don Larsen’s 1956 World Series™ Perfect Game.

This classic game is elevated by the television play-by-play of legendary Mel Allen and young Vin Scully plus for the first time ever the radio play-by-play of Bob Wolf is included as an alternative baseball bonus track. Three Hall of Fame announcers providing coverage of a singularly historic event!

Six Yankees Perfect Games and No Hitters now available on DVD!

DISC 1: October 8, 1956– Don Larsen’s Perfect Game, 1956 World Series Game 5: This remarkable record is a time-capsule of baseball from a different era. Stunning, riveting – perfect — with play-by play from Mel Allen, Vin Scully, and a bonus audio track – Bob Wolff’s radio call.

DISC 2: July 4, 1983 – Dave Righetti’s No-hitter: Righetti’s no-hit gem in the sweltering heat against the rival Boston Red Sox announced by broadcast legend Mel Allen sparkled like an Independence Day fireworks display.

DISC 3: September 4, 1993 – Jim Abbott’s No-hitter: Of all the no-hitters ever thrown at Yankee Stadium, perhaps none was more unforeseen or inspirational.

DISC 4: May 14, 1996 – Dwight Gooden’s No-hitter: His improbable no-hitter punctuated his remarkable return to Baseball and the city he had electrified a decade earlier setting an historic Yankees season into motion.

DISC 5: May 17, 1998 – David Wells’ Perfect Game: On an equally perfect spring Sunday, David Wells, a lover of baseball history, made history as he became the 15th man to pitch a perfect game.

DISC 6: July 18, 1999 – David Cone’s Perfect Game: The perfect final disc: The day began with a perfect salute to the past as Don Larsen threw the ceremonial first pitch to Yogi Berra. The day ended with David Cone finishing the third perfect game at Yankee Stadium – another intersection of Yankees heroics past and present.

They believed. They wanted it. They overcame a 10.5-game deficit in late August and claimed a playoff berth on the final day of the regular season. They then conquered the Philadelphia Phillies, and prevailed against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Facing off next against the Texas Rangers the St. Louis Cardinals fell behind 3-2 in the Fall Classic despite the record-setting performance of Albert Pujols. But back at Busch Stadium, a Game 6 for the ages unfolded as the Redbirds who were twice down to their last strike, rallied in both the ninth and 10th innings, when hometown hero David Freese crushed an all-time walk-off home run in the 11th inning to force a Game 7. In the deciding game, ace Chris Carpenter’s steely performance and a two-run double from World Series MVP Freese delivered the franchise’s 11th World Series Championship.

This official DVD from Major League Baseball Productions provides comprehensive highlights, exclusive access and interviews, plus breath-taking footage that captures the thrilling story of this St. Louis Fall Classic triumph.

With the start of 21st century baseball, a refreshed Fenway Park and Red Sox Nation longed for the championship glories of the early 20th century. The baseball gods obliged. Twice.

FALL CLASSIC AT FENWAY PARK, presented for the first time in high-definition on Blu-ray, includes the two historic World Series championships of the Boston Red Sox in 2004 and 2007. If the 2004 World Series was lighting in a bottle that obliterated the burden of three generations of Boston faithful, then in 2007 lighting struck twice.

The 2004 World Series film captures the historic, dramatic, heart-stopping, life-changing championship built by a colorful and resilient roster under manager Terry Francona that featured Kevin Millar, Johnny Damon, Curt Schilling, Derek Lowe, Jason Varitek, and David Ortiz. The 2007 film celebrates the magical blend of mighty veterans Big Papi and Kevin Youkilis, rising stars Jacoby Ellsbury and Dustin Pedroia, and powerful pitchers Josh Beckett, Jonathon Papelbon, and Daisuke Matsuzaka.

Relive the glories of two unforgettable autumns in New England with these official World Series Films that preserve two Fall Classics for the ages in magnificent blu-ray clarity.

BASEBALL’S GREATEST GAMES * 2004 AMERICAN LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES * GAME 4 * THE BOSTON RED SOX WIN THIS ALL-TIME ALCS MATCHUP FEATURING DAVID ORTIZ’S HISTORIC HOME RUN

Exactly one year and a day prior, Boston had fallen to New York in a crushing and decisive ALCS Game 7. Fast forward and the Bronx Bombers, having won the previous game 19-8, were on the verge of sweeping the Red Sox. Entering the bottom of the 9th inning down a run with the greatest closer in postseason history on the mound — all signs pointed to another chilly autumn in New England.

But the fates and Terry Francona’s Red Sox had a different tale to write. The history-changing revolution began with a harmless 9th inning walk and ended with an explosive 12th inning walkoff game winner. No baseball team had ever clawed back to win a series after losing the first three games until the fall of 2004 when the Red Sox rewrote the record books.

Direct from the Major League Baseball archives, this extraordinary television broadcast includes the quintessential making of a Fall Classic hero, an iconic moment, and one unforgettable baseball game.

The theatre was Yankee Stadium, and as the stage lights came on fierce, longtime rivals – the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox — squared off to determine which would advance to the 2003 World Series. The two starting pitchers, Roger Clemens and Pedro Martinez (combined nine Cy Young Awards), were poised, the crowd settled in, and the energy cranked up to a frenzy.

What unfolded was baseball drama for the ages. Boston struck early and shot to a 4-run lead, but New York chipped away led by core players and new comers who struck loudest and last. Fittingly, the finale was a Bronx Bombers blast as Aaron Boone’s 11th inning leadoff home run brought down the house and closed the curtain on another glorious Red Sox/Yankees performance.

BASEBALL’S GREATEST GAMES * 1993 WORLD SERIES * GAME 6 * THE TORONTO BLUE JAYS WIN THIS ALL-TIME FALL CLASSIC FEATURING JOE CARTER’S HISTORIC HOME RUN

From the start the 1993 World Series, matching the Philadelphia Phillies and defending champions Toronto Blue Jays, was a scoreboard operator’s nightmare as the first four games produced 65 runs. Game Five calmed the scorekeepers as the Phillies Curt Schilling spun a complete-game 2-0 shutout.

With the series shifting back to Canada, the Blue Jays 3-run first inning had the Toronto faithful poised to party for a second straight year. However the tough as nails “Dudes” from Philadelphia stormed back and carried a one-run lead to the bottom of the 9th inning.

The sport’s greatest leadoff hitter, Rickey Henderson sparked the action; the series best player and MVP Paul Molitor singled and the stage was set for an historic home run. With a mesmerizing swing, and delirious dance around the diamond, Joe Carter hit only the second World Series winning walk-off home run.

BASEBALL’S GREATEST GAMES * 1992 NATIONAL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP * GAME 7 * THE ATLANTA BRAVES WIN THIS ALL-TIME NLCS MATCHUP FEATURING SID BREAM’S HISTORIC SLIDE HOME

The Pittsburgh Pirates were riding a three-year streak of 95+ wins and three consecutive NLCS appearances. The year prior Atlanta had eliminated the Pirates and advanced to the World Series. This year, in this Game 7 the momentum appeared to sit with the Pirates club who carried a 2-0 lead into the bottom of the 9th inning. But, as with many of baseball’s Greatest Games, the script for this unfolding drama took unanticipated, heart-stopping, wonderful twists, which ended in a euphoric celebration for the home team.

Down to their last out and with the bases loaded Bobby Cox summoned rarely used pinch hitter Francisco Cabrera from the Atlanta bench. With one single to left the game and the series turned, punctuated by a dramatic, series-ending play at home plate and Sid Bream’s immortalized slide.

BASEBALL’S GREATEST GAMES * 1991 WORLD SERIES * GAME 7 * THE MINNESOTA TWINS WIN THIS ALL-TIME FALL CLASSIC FEATURING JACK MORRIS’ 10-INNING SHUTOUT

There are games that transcend the season or era or generations and rise to the pantheon of baseball greatness. The 1991 World Series matched two surprising ball clubs as each rose from last place finishes the year before. Over seven games – including three extra-inning affairs and five contests decided by one run – these two clubs battled as champions.

Game 7 of this relentless thriller matched veteran ace Jack Morris of the Minnesota Twins against the Atlanta Braves young gun big-game pitcher John Smoltz. With the hankie-waving HHH Metrodome masses creating jet-engine audio and energy, the game amazingly remained scoreless into extra innings. The marvelous Morris set down the Braves in the 10th frame and the fates unfolded as Gene Larkin’s World Series-ending RBI-single capped the 1991 Fall Classic and stamped this as perhaps the greatest World Series.

BASEBALL’S GREATEST GAMES * 1986 WORLD SERIES * GAME 6 * THE NEW YORK METS WIN THIS ALL-TIME FALL CLASSIC FEATURING MOOKIE WILSON’S GAME-WINNER

Was this the greatest game in World Series history? A lead-changing contest for the first nine innings, the Boston Red Sox took a two-run lead into the bottom of the eventful 10th inning. The Red Sox faithful moved to within one out of a long awaited World Series championship. One more out and this would be their first title since 1918. One out.

The Mets World Series was kept alive by Gary Carter’s two-out single which was matched by Kevin Mitchell, then Ray Knight. For Mets fans in the blink of a teary eye the score was tied and the cosmic momentum was headed in one direction. The sequence of Mookie Wilson’s “a little roller up along first…” and the Shea Stadium-rocking delirium that followed is forever chiseled in World Series history.

BASEBALL’S GREATEST GAMES * 1985 NATIONAL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP * GAME 5 * THE ST. LOUIS CARDINALS WIN THIS ALL-TIME NLCS MATCHUP FEATURING OZZIE SMITH’S HISTORIC HOME RUN

The St. Louis Cardinals, under manager Whitey Herzog, and the Los Angeles Dodgers, led by Tommy Lasorda, were even at two wins as the 1985 NLCS moved to Game 5. In the quintessential style of “Whitey Ball” the Cardinals initiated the scoring with two walks and a two- RBI double by Tommy Herr. From then on the Dodgers dazzling ace Fernando Valenzuela stilled the Cardinals while the Dodgers evened the scoring behind Bill Madlock’s 2-run home run.

Tom Niedenfuer, who anchored the Dodger bullpen in 1985 (19 Saves, 106.1 innings pitched) and had saved Game 1 with 2 2/3 innings pitched, was summoned for the bottom of the 9th with the score at 2-2. With one out, Ozzie Smith the light-hitting, switch-hitting “Wizard” stroked the game-winning home run – his first career left-handed home run after 3,009 at-bats – prompting Jack Buck’s famous exclamation, “Go crazy folks!”

BASEBALL’S GREATEST GAMES * WRIGLEY FIELD SLUGFEST * MAY 17, 1979 * THE PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES WIN THIS WRIGLEY FIELD CLASSIC FEATURING THE POWER OF DAVE KINGMAN AND MIKE SCHMIDT

The Phillies, having won the prior day’s game at Wrigley 13-0, jumped out on top 21-9. With the Chicago faithful straining for hope–lo’ and behold, in one of the wildest Wrigley Field slugfests of all time–the Cubbies stormed back to knot the score at 22!

The stage for this scoreboard jamming contest was set in the first stanza. The Cubs starting pitcher recorded only one out, allowing six runs, while the Phillies starter–who homered in the first inning, also exited after recording only one out and allowing five runs!

The two lineups were filled with stars: Mike Schmidt (2 home runs), Larry Bowa (5 hits), Bob Boone (5 RBI), Bill Buckner (7 RBI), and Dave Kingman (3 home runs). Yes, the wind was blowing out that day at Wrigley.

Direct from the Major League Baseball archives, this rare and extraordinary television broadcast includes the quintessential making of a Wrigley classic, mind-boggling offense and one unforgettable baseball game.

A special DVD audio feature allows fans to watch the television broadcast and listen to the radio play-by-play!

BASEBALL’S GREATEST GAMES * 1975 WORLD SERIES * GAME 6 * THE BOSTON RED SOX WIN THIS ALL-TIME FALL CLASSIC FEATURING CARLTON FISK’S HISTORIC HOME RUN

This see-saw battle of titans was ignited by Red Sox rookie sensation (1975 American League Rookie of the Year and MVP) Fred Lynn, whose first-frame salvo started the spectacle.

By mid-point, Cincinnati’s Big Red Machine had evened the scoring and charged ahead, just six outs from wrapping up the Fall Classic. Ah, but the night was young. The second of Boston’s three heart-stopping home runs was launched by Bernie Carbo to square the diamond-drama at six.

For the next three frames opportunities flashed and faded until the bottom of the 12th inning when New England’s own Carlton Fisk topped the Green Monster and the Reds with one well-placed, histrionic-heavy, home run creating an iconic image and a breath-taking victory.

Direct from the Major League Baseball archives, this rare and extraordinary television broadcast includes the quintessential making of a Fall Classic hero, an iconic moment, and one unforgettable baseball game.

A special DVD audio feature allows fans to watch the television broadcast and listen to the radio play-by-play!

BASEBALL’S GREATEST GAMES * 1960 WORLD SERIES * GAME 7 * THE PITTSBURGH PIRATES WIN THE FALL CLASSIC FEATURING BILL MAZEROSKI’S HISTORIC HOME RUN

On October 13, 1960 the Pittsburgh Pirates completed one of the most unlikely upsets in World Series history. It was a classic, tense Game 7 marked by heroics, lead changes, and a stunning home run from “Maz.”

After six games, the heavily favored New York Yankees had compiled impressive Fall Classic numbers: .340 team batting average, 78 hits, and 46 runs to the Pirates 17. Yet the opportunistic Pirates had the series even at three wins apiece.

In Game 7, the Pirates stormed to an early 4-0 lead, but waves of scoring from both clubs had the game knotted at nine in the bottom of the ninth. Then 24-year old Bill Mazeroski, known more for his glove than his bat, approached the plate and launched the first World Series-ending home run in baseball history, setting off a delirious celebration that reverberated from Forbes Field across Pittsburgh and through the annals of all-time sports achievements.

Direct from the Major League Baseball archives, this rare and extraordinary television broadcast has been restored for this remarkable DVD presentation. It is the quintessential making of a Fall Classic hero, an iconic moment, and one unforgettable baseball game.

From the April home opener to the glorious November victory parade, this team was bonded by a trust – a belief – dare we say: The Magic Inside.

The team-first attitudes of veterans and newcomers alike blended with the positive style of manager Bruce Bochy to create a superb and sustaining chemistry. AT&T Park overflowed with waves of orange-and-black devotees throughout the year – hoping beyond hope that their Giants would bring them the first World Series title in San Francisco history. Often it was tortuous. But always it was magic.

From the homegrown pitching to the rookie sensation behind the plate. From the key in-season acquisitions to the been-there-done-that approach of veterans, these Giants were on a mission. They staged a September rally to win their division – they surpassed Atlanta and the reigning NL champion Phillies in a succession of nail-biting playoff games – and once in the World Series, they silenced the powerful Texas offense with one pitching gem after another.

The Magic Inside tells the wonderful story of this historic Giants season through exclusive interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, game action highlights and inside access to the parade. The spectacular story of the 2010 San Francisco Giants is indeed all about The Magic Inside.

It was a magical 2010 season for the Texas Rangers. With improved starting pitching, a terrific bullpen, and a solid lineup that featured six current or former A.L. All-Stars, the Rangers captured the American League West Division crown. All season long perseverance and resilience were the trademarks of a team that tallied 11 walk-off victories.

The lineup sparkled with an engaging and energizing blend of fresh, youthful talent, familiar favorites, and tested newcomers. But the exclamation point on this historic season was yet to come. The Rangers knocked off the Tampa Bay Rays in a grueling five-game Division Series and then defeated the defending World Champion New York Yankees in six games to win the first American League Championship in the 50-year history of the franchise.

With the official DVD, IT’S TIME you’ll relive the stories of the 2010 Season from the Claw and the Antler right through to the sweet history making of October baseball at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.

The “Golden Age” of Cleveland baseball under owner Bill Veeck is celebrated in this collectible DVD featuring one of the most star-studded pitching staffs in Major League Baseball history.

All the glory of the Cleveland Indians® 1948 World Series® Championship is now digitally preserved on this official DVD.

The Cleveland Indians under player-manager and 1948 American League® MVP Lou Boudreau had superb hitting, but it was the pitching that led the way. Veterans Bob Feller and Bob Lemon were joined by a pair of unlikely rookies: knuckleballer Gene Bearden and, at 42 years of age, the oldest Major League Baseball® rookie ever, Satchel Paige (with his 1,500 Negro League victories).

After defeating the Boston Red Sox® in a one-game playoff to decide the pennant, the Indians took on the Boston Braves®. Over the first four games Cleveland’s pitching registered a 0.75 ERA, and sparked by the hitting of Larry Doby, the Indians won their first championship since 1920.

Bonus Film: In the glistening new Jacobs Field, the 1995 Indians team relied on overwhelming offense and a pitching staff with a league-leading ERA. Wahoo! What A Finish celebrates the dramatic come-from-behind victories that rocked “The Jake.”

In just it’s fourth year of existence, the Arizona Diamondbacks made history by defeating the three-time defending World Series Champion New York Yankees in a dramatic seven-game Fall Classic. With the horrors of September 11, 2001 still fresh, Major League Baseball and the World Series provided a much needed respite for America.

The 2001 World Series pitted the mighty Yankees, winners of 26 World Series Championships, against the upstart Diamondbacks, winners of 2 postseason series. Despite being taken to the brink of elimination after three dramatic games in New York, the Diamondbacks battled back at home and won it all in an incredible ninth inning comeback in Game 7.

The seven complete World Series games in this remarkable DVD collection are nothing short of historic, considering not only the baseball achievements but also the tragic historical context. Stellar performances from Co-MVPs Curt Schilling and Randy Johnson and the unforgettable series clinching hit from Luis Gonzalez are showcased and digitally preserved for your enjoyment.

Your viewing of these historic games is intensified with SleeveStats: the perfect companion to the ultimate baseball DVD experience, offering official stats, trivia, and game summaries right on each DVD’s package.

All the glory and classic moments of the Oakland A’s World Series Championships from 1972 to 1989 are digitally preserved in this one-of-a-kind DVD.

This DVD features the vintage official World Series® films of the Oakland A’s® World Championships from 1972, 1973, 1974, and 1989.

Catfish Hunter’s pitching led the way in 1972 against the Cincinnati Reds® when six of the seven games were decided by one run. The 1974 Fall Classic® versus the Los Angeles Dodgers® featured the hitting of Joe Rudi and Bert Campaneris, and pitcher Ken Holtzman’s timely home run that sealed the A’s third title in a row and place in history.

Fifteen year later the A’s met the San Francisco Giants® in a historic World Series. After the A’s won the first two games, Game Three was delayed ten days by an earthquake that left sixty-seven people dead and rolled destruction across sections of the Bay Area. After much consideration, the World Series continued with Oakland sweeping all four games.

1972 – OAKLAND ATHLETICS vs CINCINNATI REDS
1973 – OAKLAND ATHLETICS vs NEW YORK METS
1974 – OAKLAND ATHLETICS vs LOS ANGELES DODGERS

Relive all the classic moments of four Phillies World Series appearances in 43 years in this one-of-a-kind digitally-preserved DVD.

Led by Richie Ashburn, Robin Roberts, Jim Konstanty and Del Ennis, the 1950 “Whiz Kids” won the pennant on the last day of the season and faced the New York Yankees in the Fall Classic.

Thirty years later the greatest moment in Phillies history took place at Veterans Stadium when Tug McGraw struck out Kansas City’s Willie Wilson. The scoreboard said it all: WORLD CHAMPIONS! Mike Schmidt, Steve Carlton, Larry Bowa, Greg Luzinski, Garry Maddox and Bob Boone anchored the Phillies.

Schmidt and Carlton were joined by the likes of Joe Morgan, John Denny and Al Holland to win another Phillies NL pennant in 1983 and a trip to the World Series against Baltimore.

In 1993, Lenny Dykstra, Darren Daulton, John Kruk Curt Schilling, and Mitch Williams led a wild and crazy bunch to an upset victory over Atlanta in the playoffs. In dramatic fashion, Toronto won a second consecutive World Series championship.

1980 PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES vs KANSAS CITY ROYALS
1983 PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES vs BALTIMORE ORIOLES

From the moment the 1979 Pittsburgh Pirates first took the field, until they battled back to defeat the Baltimore Orioles in the 1979 World Series, “the Buccos” demanded attention and respect. The optimism of manager Chuck Tanner provided the perfect guidance to a team already led by the universally-respected Willie Stargell and ferocious hitting of Dave Parker. Galvanized by a family spirit, a crowd-pleasing song, and the shared fire to win, this team was marked by character, confidence, and a flair for dramatic victories.

Down three games to one, the Pirates provided a sudden plot change and stormed back to claim the 1979 World Series championship. Every game of this remarkable Fall Classic, every pitch, clutch hit, stellar pitching performance, and infectious smile of the Pirates is digitally preserved in this one-of-a-kind collectible.

Your viewing of these historic games is intensified with SleeveStats: the perfect companion to the ultimate baseball DVD experience, offering official stats, trivia, and game summaries right on each DVD’s package

*1964: St. Louis Cardinals vs. New York Yankees — This historic Fall Classic saw Bob Gibson strike out 31 Yankees over 27 innings and Mickey Mantle’s last World Series Home Run (record 18th), and the end of an era as the Cardinals dethroned the Yankees.

*1967: St. Louis Cardinals vs. Boston Red Sox — St. Louis once again went toe-to-toe with Boston led by Triple Crown-winning Carl Yastrezemski. The Redbirds and ace-on-the-hill Bob Gibson proved victorious in seven games.

Never has a home team played a World Series under a roof or in front of louder fans. Never in the history of Major League Baseball has the home team won every game of the World Series. Of course, never before had the Minnesota Twins won a World Series, and never would anyone have picked them to improve from a sub-.500 winning percentage to champions in just one season.

With a lineup powered by the hard-hitting foursome, a staff anchored by two starting aces and one in the bullpen, a manager whose calm was contagious, and rabid fans who nearly blew the roof off the home field, the Twins throttled baseball with an unmatched home field advantage. Every game of this Twin Cities tale, every pitch, every rafter-rocking home run, and thunderous roar of the Metrodome faithful is digitally preserved in this one-of-a-kind collectible. Unlike certain Cardinals pitchers you may choose to not wear earplugs; however twirling “Homer Hankies” is encouraged.

After dropping Game 1, Toronto went on to win three games in a row in dramatic fashion. Game 6 led fans through nine innings of tight one-run baseball. The Atlanta Braves® tightened the knot with a the score in the bottom of the ninth, before the Blue Jays pushed themselves into the lead in the 11th inning, and held on to become the first team outside of the U.S. to win a World Series championship.

The only script that could equal the 1992 championship was the glorious sequel that unfolded in 1993. The series see-sawed between the Philadelphia Phillies® and Blue Jays. In Game 4, the Jays were victorious in a 15-14 nailbiter. Game 6 sealed it when Joe Carter ended the Fall Classic with only the second World Series-winning walk-off home run in the history of Major League Baseball®.

Over the decades of New York Yankees dominance many have earned their pinstripes through performance or victories or popularity. However, the most exclusive club in the Bronx has been reserved for the men whose leadership, personalities, and attitude exemplify the ideals and virtues befitting the Captaincy.

This special edition Yankeeography two-DVD collection salutes seven Captains from Lou Gehrig to Derek Jeter. Culled from the Emmy® award- winning Yankeeography series, these seven player profiles span the eras of Yankees greatness, generations of fandom, and acknowledge the role each played for their teams.

LOU GEHRIG: set the standard for leadership

RON GUIDRY: energized Yankee Stadium with his pitching power

WILLIE RANDOLPH: exemplified the dignity of a competitive champion

DON MATTINGLY: performed at the highest level and became “Donnie Baseball”

DEREK JETER: leads with class on and off the field punctuated by dramatic heroics

1976 Cincinnati Reds® vs. New York Yankees®
1990 Cincinnati Reds® vs. Oakland Athletics®

From the Big Red Machine to the wire-to-wire 1990 club, this compilation includes two overwhelming Reds sweeps and a victory in the World Series called the greatest in history.

All the glory and classic moments of these three Cincinnati Reds® World Series® Championships are now digitally preserved on this official DVD.

The 1975 Fall Classic® matched the Reds against the Boston Red Sox® in a seven-act performance that enthralled the nation. After an extra-innings defeat in Game 6 the night before, the Reds trailed 3-0 in Game 7, but like true champions, they battled back to win the game and take home the series.

The taut drama of the previous season’s finale was replaced by an awesome display of professionalism and dominance in the 1976 World Series as the Reds swept the star-struck New York Yankees®.

Fourteen years later, the Reds again swept their opponent, but this time it was a significant upset. The defending champion Oakland Athletics® were out-pitched and out-played over four games as the Red Legs completed their wire-to-wire season with their fifth championship in franchise history.

Future Hall of Famers, record-setters, and Motor City heroes fill the World Series® rosters of the three Detroit Tigers championship teams celebrated on this official DVD.

1945: The end of World War II led to the return of many Americans to their pre-war livelihoods—including Detroit Tigers starter Virgil Trucks. Aided by Trucks, along with the 1945 American League MVP® Hal Newhouser and Hank Greenberg, the Tigers won in seven games.

1968: The Tigers’ 1968 season was dominated by pitching, and the World Series showcased three of the best; 30-game winner Denny McClain faced the Cardinals®’ Bob Gibson in Game 1 as Gibson struck out a record seventeen Tigers. From there, Mickey Lolich took control with three complete-game wins.

1984: Coach Sparky Anderson led the Tigers to a record-setting start of the 1984 season culminating with104 regular season wins, a sweep of the ALCS®, and a World Series win. Jack Morris, Alan Trammell, and Kirk Gibson set the pace as the Tigers became only the third MLB ® club to go wire-to-wire.

All the glory and classic moments of the Los Angeles Dodgers World Series Championships from 1959 to 1988 are digitally preserved in this one-of-a-kind two-disc DVD collection.

This DVD features the official vintage World Series® films of the Los Angeles Dodgers® World Championships from 1959, 1963, 1965, 1981, and 1988.

The passion and excitement of Los Angeles Dodgers baseball was on full display in the first three Fall Classic® games in 1959. Each record-setting crowd at The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum swelled beyond 90,000. A tradition of October Baseball in Los Angeles was born.

In 1963, Sandy Koufax set the World Series strikeout record of fifteen in Game 1. Again in 1965, pitching was supreme, but this time the Dodgers’ speed charged the offense as well. The 1981 and 1988 World Series championships were fueled by the optimism of manager Tommy Lasorda.

1991: Minnesota Twins vs. Atlanta Braves.

All the glory and classic moments of the Twins 1987 and 1991 Championships are digitally preserved on this one-of-a-kind DVD.

The1987 World Series® was the first to be played indoors and the raucous Minnesota Twins® fans did everything they could to blow the roof right off the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome. Record-books will note this Fall Classic® for Kent Hrbek’s Game 6 grand slam, while Twins fans will never forget the thunderous, homer-hanky waving crowds that propelled the Twins to a record-setting four home victories.

1991 was even more remarkable. Considered to be one of, if not the greatest World Series, the Twins battled through seven extraordinary games. Kirby Puckett’s stellar Game 6 including his game-winning, 12th-inning home run was matched the next night by a game for the ages. The Twins captured their second championship with a Game 7, 1-0, 10-inning victory from Jack Morris.

“The Catch” was a magnificent moment in time when action, athletic genius, and history collide. This celebrated play of the 1954 World Series® created an iconic image and defined the competitive fire, excellence, and grace of the remarkable Willie Mays.

Along with manager Leo “the Lip” Durocher, the electrifying Mays and the New York Giants® met the heavily favored Cleveland Indians® with their American League® record 111 victories. Games 1 and 2 took place on the hallowed Polo Grounds in northern Manhattan, while cavernous Cleveland Stadium was the site of the final two contests of the Fall Classic®.

In addition to the stupefying defensive play by Mays off a prodigious blast by Cleveland’s Vic Wertz, Game 1 also featured the pinch-hit, game-ending home-run heroics of James “Dusty” Rhodes. Stunned and defeated, the Indians could not overcome the stellar pitching and patient hitting of the Giants who swept all four games to claim the championship.

No, it’s not a dream. In the 100th World Series championship ever played, the Boston Red Sox swept the St. Louis Cardinals to become World Series Champions. For 86 years Red Sox fans cursed everthing from their luck to Babe Ruth as they watched others celebrate victory in the Fall Classic. But this year promised to be different.

They swept past the heavy-hitting Anaheim Angels and then faced the New York Yankees in the ALCS. The Red Sox fell behind their archrival three games to none — and relinquished 19 runs in Game Three. Still, they refused to die. Boston won the next two at Fenway Park — and completed the greatest comeback in the history of sports — at Yankee Stadium.

Riding a crest of momentum, Boston advanced to the World Series, where they faced a St. Louis squad that had won more games than any other team in 2004. But by now, the Red Sox were unstoppable — and it took just four games to capture the title and extinguish forever the talk of a curse. Rest assured Red Sox Nation. You are living a dream — a dream come true.

This all-California final featured the first Fall Classic match-up of two Wild Card teams and set numerous records as the Anaheim Angels captured their first World Series championship.

All the glory of the Anaheim Angels 2002 World Series Championship is now digitally preserved on this official DVD.

The Angels® relied on both seasoned veterans and the high-octane energy of youth to win 99 regular season games. This formula was on full display in the dramatic and unforgettable seven-game series against the San Francisco Giants®.

The series was tied after the first four games 2-2. Giants fans were jubilant after their 16-4 Game 5 triumph. However, the Angels would never quit. Now, down 3 games to 2, and trailing 5-0 in the bottom of the seventh, the Halos charged back. Scott Spiezio’s 3-run, seventh-inning home run led off a rally that propelled the Angels to a Game 6 win.

The next night John Lackey became the first rookie-pitcher to start and win a Game 7 since 1909. In their first World Series appearance the Club reached the goal set at the start of their inaugural 1961 season: the Angels were World Champions!

All the glory and classic moments of the Orioles World Series Championships from 1966 to 1983 are digitally preserved on this official DVD.

Spanning both three decades and three managers — Hank Bauer, Earl Weaver, and Joe Altobelli — the enduring, common trait of the Baltimore Orioles® success was stellar pitching, well-timed power, and peerless defense.

The arrival of Frank Robinson in 1966 catapulted the Orioles to their first Fall Classic®. Baltimore’s pitchers dominated, holding the Los Angeles Dodgers® to just two runs — for the entire four-game World Series. Four Octobers later, the Birds power hitting and fielding were on display. The rally-ending defense of Brooks Robinson and the club’s 10 home runs in five games helped the O’s to a second Championship.

In 1983, the familiar formula and a familiar face held an encore. The Orioles staff, including Jim Palmer who provided a bridge to the 1966 victors, stifled the Philadelphia Phillies® allowing only seven runs in the five games.

1966 – BALTIMORE ORIOLES vs LOS ANGELES DODGERS

1970 – BALTIMORE ORIOLES vs CINCINNATI REDS

1983 – BALTIMORE ORIOLES vs PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES
