“A brash and highly agreeable British comedy…” Independent Magazine.com; Kurt Brokaw
Based on Alain De Botton’s international bestseller On Love, this clever and innovative romantic comedy directed by Julian Kemp is an anything-but-ordinary story about love and our addiction to it.
Brendan Patricks stars as Duncan, a man whose roller-coaster journey in and out of love has taken him to an emotional rock bottom. He just can’t understand what, or who, has caused all of is relationships to fail. He’s pretended not to care about ex-boyfriends that haven’t quite disappeared, disastrously attempted to give fashion advice, and even been the first to utter those three special words – but nothing seems to work out. In a last-ditch effort to figure out where it all went wrong, Duncan takes a ride through the memories of his last five relationships. Each of his ex-girlfriends, quirky and idiosyncratic in their own charming ways, leave Duncan even more perplexed about love than the last. With a cast including Cecile Cassel, Naomie Harris (Pirates of the Caribbean, 28 Days Later), and Jane March (Clash of the Titans), Duncan discovers with delicious wit and charm just how modern urban relationships go wrong.

“Though Kemp’s relationship material is mostly standard issue, he has a good eye for visual comedy, integrating some inventive animation and trippy fantasy sequences into the mix.” J.B. Spins.blogspot.com;
“My Last Five Girlfriends is an intelligent, funny, unforgettable look at one man’s search for what went wrong on his journey to love. I won’t give away the ending, but it was a stroke of genius. I highly recommend this film to everyone. It is a true gem worth seeing more than once.” Static Multimedia; Melissa Bradley
“My Last Five Girlfriends is not like anything else you've seen and it is certainly visually arresting. Kemp and Co. know the film's charms and limitations and keep it short and [mostly] sweet, at just under ninety minutes.” TV.com; Sheldon A. Wiebe
